The Full Cheek Single Wire Twisted Snaffle Bit is a more severe bit than a smooth mouthpiece. The thinner a mouthpiece is, the more severe it is. When the wire is twisted, it makes it strong across the bars and tongue of the horse's mouth. The slow twist snaffle bit, while more severe that a regular jointed snaffle, is not as severe as this twisted wire snaffle. Full cheek bits have long bars which assist when turning by applying external pressure on the sides of the face, which can be very useful with youngsters. The full cheeks also prevent the bit from being pulled through the horses mouth. The Full Cheek Single Wire Twisted Snaffle bit is made of stainless steel and comes in 5". Cheek length is 7".
