The Waterford Hunt Dee Ring Snaffle bit is a multi-jointed bit that encourages mouthing. Good for horses where an extra bit of control is needed. The Waterford Dee Ring Snaffle Bit has a mouthpiece which is made of 5-9 joints and is very flexible. Due to the many joints, the waterford has many bumps, which can act as pressure points. The idea is that the great flexibility will discourage the horse from leaning on it and pulling. The Hunt Dee bits are made of durable, heavier stainless steel, than most normal bits, so they weigh more in the horse's mouth. This is generally a more sought-after bit due to the weight factor. When using a "release" to reward the horse for backing off, the weight drops the bit in the horse's mouth easier for a greater reward. The Waterford Hunt Dee Ring Snaffle comes in 5" and 5 1/2" with King Dee Rings.
