Every equestrian should be riding with a helmet due to the risk associated with horseback riding activities. It doesn't matter how experienced you are in the saddle, accidents happen and it's best to be prepared. If a rider falls and hits their helmet on a solid object (rock, fence, ground, etc), the helmet should be replaced, because it has done its job to protect your head and the impact has most likely weakened the helmet's protection. Schooling helmets come in many styles, shapes & colors for you to express yourself. Helmets should be ASTM/SEI approved and a lot of helmets come with a manufacturer's guarantee and/or warranty.
