As many riders know, riding boot socks are a matter of preference, however very necessary! They are designed & made especially for the equestrian rider. Paddock boot socks are shorter and designed for protection up to the middle of your shin. Tall riding boot socks are longer in length & go up to the knees to protect the entire lower leg. English riders generally have a thin, slinky-type sock which slips over the outside of our breeches to help our riding boots slip on & off easier. It's a lot easier than using wax, powder or sprays...especially in the summertime when your legs swell with the heat.
