Use helmet cleaner to keep the velvet/suede looking nice and deodorizer available when showing in the summertime. Use saddle soap to keep your harness pliable & new looking by cleaning it with saddle soap and using leather conditioner. If you have a velvet helmet, you can invest in a velvet brush to keep it upright and not pressed down in a pattern. You should cover your helmet if you are riding outside when it's wet or snowing and keep it protected in a hat box when not in use.
